Inflation Calculator Support

Help with the iPhone app and the ChatGPT and Codex plugin.

Where do the numbers come from?

Official statistics: the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the OECD, the World Bank and IMF, and the Social Security Administration. The current year is an IMF forecast until the final figure is out, and results say so.

How do I use it in ChatGPT or Codex?

Add Inflation Calculator from the plugin directory, then just ask, for example “What is $100 from 1980 worth today?” You can also mention it by name with @ to make sure the assistant uses it. There's no sign-in.

ChatGPT gave a number that looks wrong

Check that the answer shows the Inflation Calculator card or cites one of the sources above. If it does and the number still looks off, email us the question you asked and we'll look into it.

I bought Premium on iPhone. Do I need it for ChatGPT?

No. The plugin is free and doesn't need an account. Premium only applies to the iPhone app.

I got a new iPhone

Install the app with the same Apple Account. To bring back Premium, open the Premium screen and tap Restore Purchases.
